BHV, a manufacturer of hardware, firmware, desktop, and cloud solutions as well as a  provider of turnkey engineering services, is introducing a new 4K 60 video processor platform.

The platform, which sits at the heart of BHV’s recently introduced Camera SportsBox 4-channel remote switcher and format processor, includes features such as advanced high dynamic range (HDR)/standard dynamic range (SDR) cross conversion and keying capabilities.

Camera SportsBox is a super compact device that allows four camera views to be transported over a single remote link (5G, COFDM), allowing access to four vehicle cameras all selectable in the production gallery.

The unit brings maximum flexibility and portability to fast-action multi-camera productions such as motor GP, competitive sailing and aerial racing. Capable of full 4K 60P 4:2:2, SportsBox is designed to fit the smallest spaces while meeting the rigorous demands of outside broadcast (OB) producers and complies fully with the standards of sporting governing bodies, said BHV.

Camera SportsBox features four 4K-SDI inputs, each capable of full format conversion, allowing any camera from SD to 4K in any mix to be scaled, synchronised, and transferred by a single wireless link.

Weighing in at under 700 grams (appx. 1.5 lbs.) and measuring 174mm x 124mm x 45mm (6 ¾ x 5 x 1 ¾ inches) Camera SportsBox is based on a new silicon, making it highly integrated and durable for the harshest of sporting environments.

BHV will be demonstrating the full capabilities of the Camera SportsBox at ISE 2025, which is taking place in Barcelona from February 4-7.
